Understanding the Necessity for Funding

After the initial filing of a patent, it quickly became clear that additional funding was essential to cover the escalating costs associated with the patent process. This realization prompted a search for a local investment banker who could assist in securing the necessary funds. The search yielded an interested party willing to invest, albeit at the cost of relinquishing 30% equity in the venture.

Strategic Management Changes

With the infusion of capital, the next phase of growth involved recruiting new management to steer the company towards success. The decision to bring in a seasoned team was pivotal; it not only ensured better oversight of operations but also brought fresh perspectives to the business strategy. Recognizing the critical role of technology in the product development lifecycle, the management initiated a search for high-level computer programming professionals. This step was crucial in building a strong foundation for the upcoming innovative product.

Development of the Predictive Input Keyboard

The journey towards realizing the vision took approximately two years, during which the programming team worked diligently to develop the foundational code required for the product. After extensive research and development, the initial U.S. patent application was completed and prepared for filing. The culmination of these efforts was the birth of the predictive input keyboard—an innovative solution set to transform user interaction with technology.

In reference to touch screens we need to bring Compact Computers into the story! They created the stilest touch screen phone in early 2000 called the Ipac 3600 series. We were under contract to produce our Predictive input Technology in 7 languages on their phones. The story does not end here, the story unfolds further in our next post!
